Engine

There it is in all it’s glory, a very tired stock 289 and C4. I knew I needed a new motor when I raced my buddy in his 2000 Ford F150 4x4 and he smoked me. To say the least I was quite embarrassed.

Well there it is the old motor and tranny, just taking up space in my garage. I thought of using them for a boat anchor, but I ended up selling them for pretty cheap. Hey what did I care, they were out of my garage!

While the motor was out I thought I might clean up the engine compartment and give it a fresh paint job. As it turns out this was a longer process than I anticipated. Next time I do this I will definitely sand blast the area instead of using degreaser and a scotch brite pad.

Doesn’t that look mean, a partially assembled 351W ready for the rest of the fixens.
