Interior

When I took all the carpet out I didn’t think I had any rust in the floor pan. Yeah right!

Picture 1 is the what the floor looked like after I chipped off all the fiberglass so I could see how much of the floor was actually rotted out. Picture 2 is the nice holes I cut in the floor. It looks like the Flinstones!

As I was at the muffler shop we were getting ready to weld the side bars in and noticed the welder wasn’t welding to the floor. After really looking at the floor we noticed it was all fiberglassed over. I was pretty pissed at this point because I knew that I was going to have to cut out the floor pans and have new ones welded in. The person who owned it before me had actually at some point fiberglassed over both floor pans on the driver and passenger side. So at first glance it looked like it was from the factory this way. All they did was put a bandage on the problem and didn’t want to fix it properly.

Installing new floor pans wasn’t that bad although it did push back my timeline I had set to finish the project.

The cage turned out great, I was real happy with it. I also replaced all my guages with Auto meter and made some mounting brackets for them.
